The history behind our patents reflects one of the fundamental goals of both the American and the Russian partners of Titanium Technologies LLC: To link the scientific establishments of the two former foes. The financing and development of the patents represents the political will of certain institutions in the United States and Russia to engage in a new geopolitical relationship.

The foremost credit goes to the U.S. Department of State which has financed the development of our technologies through the International Science and Technology Center (ISTC). The task was to engage scientists who have a demonstrated aptitude in strategic industries to remain in Russia and convert knowledge that they developed in military institutes into commercial applications.

Beyond funding the development of the technologies, the U.S. Government also commissioned a study to explore its use. The study was undertaken by the Technology Commercialization Group LLC (TCG) and excerpts from this work are the basis for the disclosure of information in this section.
